Lie Sang Bong is contemplative. After a decade of exuberant design, he retreats to the mountainous landscapes of his native Korea for a spiritual and sartorial retreat. His pared-down Autumn-Winter 2011-12 collection sets the tone with its magical scenography, projected onto canvases that surround the audience.
\n\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

To the raucous sound of a walker’s breath, coats with volutes reminiscent of the clouds that surround the peaks, long pleated skirts that reveal melancholy landscapes with every step, and jackets on which the word “ami” (friend) is calligraphed in Hangul, appear from the mist. Boots worn with gaiters, quilted leather belts and supple leather backpacks were just some of the accessories on offer, but it was the coats, both refined and cocooning, that caught the eye. <\/p>\n

After so much effort, the walker is rewarded with a shower of snow at the end of the parade, before the greeting of a happy Lie Sang Bong. The mountains are good for you! <\/p>\n
