PETRODVORETS WATCH FACTORY, located in St. Petersburg, was originally founded in 1721 by Peter the Great as a gemstone factory.
\nFrom 1946, the factory manufactured watches for leading Soviet brands. In 1962, the factory created its new Raketa (Russian for “rocket”) brand in honor of the first cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin.
\nToday, PETRODVORETS WATCH FACTORY is still housed in its original buildings and remains one of the last Soviet factories to produce its mechanisms entirely. These watches combine design and quality standards. <\/p>\n
Here are the new timepieces from Raketa, Russia’s oldest watch manufacturer (founded in 1721 by Peter the Great and producing its first watches in 1947, with a 100% manufactured movement including balance-spring and escapement), presented at Basel.
