If there’s one word that defines Christophe Josse’s style, it’s elegance. Elegant cuts and silhouettes characterize a highly contemporary collection entitled “techno-impressionist”. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>Delicacy and fragility are the watchwords of a Spring Summer 2011 collection exalting femininity and inspired by the works of photographers Heinrich K\u00fchm and Bruce Weber. The exceptional savoir-faire of the Haute-Couture ateliers is perfectly illustrated in a collection full of lightness, where tulle and organza take center stage. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>Steamy drapes and long, goddess-like dresses rub shoulders with shorter, extremely intricate gowns adorned with stainless steel embroidery.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>The short, quite present, is nicely envisaged for the big evenings and reaches its apogee in the mini wedding dress whose very airy train seems to carry the woman in a true demonstration of elegance and grace.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>The busts of the dresses are sometimes adorned with delicate details, bringing a certain sophistication to more classic silhouettes. Sequins, white duchesse satin petals and white porcelain tassels are all sources of freshness and lightness. Long skirts with brittle, slightly transparent pleats elongate the silhouette and enhance a woman’s natural elegance. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>The waist is sometimes delicately emphasized by a thin belt in polished stainless steel, when it is not beautifully suggested by the cut of a delicately structured dress.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>A predominantly white collection, it is occasionally enlivened by hints of lilac, fresh butter yellow, sky blue or water green, not forgetting pigeon’s throat grey, thus avoiding the monotony of monochrome. Black, of course, brings a touch of timeless chic to a very spring-like collection. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>But no nostalgia for outdated elegance for the newest permanent member of Haute-Couture Week. Honeycomb jersey, white neoprene mounted in creamy volume and a technical silk jacket lend him a welcome modernity and celebrate a candor devoid of mawkishness. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Christophe Josse’s collection this season is extremely feminine and poetic, highlighting a man’s delicate eye for the natural grace and elegance of women.<\/p>\n

Mr Josse, being a permanent member suits you and us too.<\/p>\n
