This week, Montblanc launched its new charity project dedicated to John Lennon in 5 cities simultaneously (New York, Berlin, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Mexico), in collaboration with the association “the John Lennon educational tour Bus” (a travelling recording studio to help young artists produce their music. The bus will travel the world. www.lennonbus.org.)<\/p>\n

This week in New York at Lincoln Center, the party, presided over by Susan Sarandon, unveiled the project, in duplex with Yoko Ono in Berlin. This was followed by a screening of Sam Taylor Wood’s new film “Nowhere Boy”, about the singer’s life, and a concert by Christina Aguilera, which brought the audience to its feet, including:

Montblanc , a story to tell.<\/p>\n

Montblanc’s identity is deeply rooted in the creation of unique

The special john lennon edition
\nIt’s like holding a vinyl record from yesteryear. The delicate grooves chiselled into the body’s precious black
\nresin recall precisely that feeling at your fingertips. The
\nSp\u00e9ciale John Lennon edition features design elements that evoke the musical genre of the
\n50s and 60s. In particular, the platinum-plated clip is inspired by a guitar head from the era, with its
\npegs and finely engraved strings. On the instrument’s central point, where the
\ncap comes into contact with the body, a platinum escutcheon engraved with John Lennon’s self-portrait
\n(the sketch he so often and easily scribbled in place of his signature) subtly pays
\nhomage to this edition. <\/p>\n

Sponsoring the great artists of tomorrow
\nFrom the Montblanc emblem crowning the cap, to the music staff delicately engraved
\non the cone, to the peace symbol decorating the hand-crafted 18 K gold
\nand rhodium-plated nib, Montblanc’s John Lennon Special Edition embodies purity and aesthetic harmony.
\nBut true to the Montblanc philosophy, the edition is not only a work of art
\nin itself, it also makes a contribution to the cultural community.
\nProfits from this edition, amounting to 20 euros for each fountain pen and 10 euros
\nfor ballpoint pens or rollerballs, will be donated to carefully selected
\ncultural projects that support young artists around the world, enabling
\na new generation of emerging talent to take up the legacy left by John Lennon.<\/p>\n

John Lennon 1940 Commemoration Edition
\nNew York’s Strawberry Fields memorial in Central Park is home to an eloquent tribute to
\nJohn Lennon in the form of a circular mosaic with the word
\n“Imagine” inscribed at its center. This mosaic offers travellers a place to remember and reflect in peace.
\nIt is also the inspiration for the design of the 1940 Commemoration Edition. This one,
\nlimited to 1,940 pieces, in reference to the year of Lennon’s birth, is available in fountain pen
\nand rollerball and features a 925 sterling silver guilloch\u00e9 layer covered
\nwith translucent white lacquer, a blue tanzanite crowning the clip inspired by
\nLennon’s guitar, evoking his famous blue glasses, as well as numerous engravings, including the
\nrelease date of the song “Imagine”: 02.10.1971. The rhodium-plated 18 K gold nib bears the
\nsymbol so often represented by the flowers on the memorial’s circular mosaic: that of peace. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Limited edition john lennon 70
\nThe word “Imagine”, which appears artistically in a white gold (750%) skeleton, surrounds
\nthe limited edition John Lennon 70, a tribute to his greatest solo success. The blue hue
\nof the transparent precious resin of the cap and body refers to Lennon’s trademark
\naccessory: round blue glasses; the blue is recalled in
\nthe set of sapphires adorning the clasp, alongside three diamonds tracing the chord of the song
\n“Imagine”. The cone is lacquered, evoking a piano keyboard. This unique edition is limited to
\n70 pieces, to commemorate the legendary musician’s 70th birthday on October 9, 2010.
