For the third year running, Le Meurice presents the Meurice Prize for Contemporary Art
\n, and is resolutely committed to championing young talent on the French scene to help them promote themselves on the international stage.<\/p>\n

After awarding the 2009 prize to Renaud Auguste-Dormeuil, represented by Galerie In Situ, for his work “Blackout”, the members of the Jury for the Prix Meurice pour l’art contemporain met behind closed doors on Monday May 3. Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Patron of the Prize, Henri Loyrette, President-Director of the Louvre, Marta Gili, Director of the Mus\u00e9e du Jeu de Paume, Jennifer Flay, Artistic Director of the FIAC, Colette Barbier, Director of the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard, Marc-Olivier Wahler, Director of the Palais de Tokyo, Montse Aguer, Director of the Centre d’Etudes Daliniennes, Philippe Dagen, Writer and Professor at Paris I, and Franka Holtmann, General Manager of H\u00f4tel Le Meurice, have shortlisted 8 artists and their galleries (listed in alphabetical order by gallery): <\/p>\n
