\"\"<\/a>Every year during the Cannes Film Festival, the film world gathers for a charity event to benefit amfAR (American Foundation for Aids), an association that fights against AIDS chaired by Elisabeth Taylor. A charity evening was then organized with an auction, the proceeds of which were entirely donated to AIDS research. This Cinema against Aids<\/em> event is one of the most awaited and attended events of the fortnight.<\/p>\n

<\/em>Highly invested in charitable missions, particularly those that combat serious illnesses, Maison Chopard supports this exceptional event by being a co-sponsor of the annual charity gala held at the H\u00f4tel Du Cap-Eden Roc. The brands Mo\u00ebt-Hennessy, Giorgio Armani, Hewlett-Packard and the car brand Audi also wanted to support the cause by being co-sponsors.<\/p>\n

For the second consecutive year, AmfAR was organized at the Eden Roc, in Cap d’Antibes, which has become the place to be for the 2010 festival, but without the divine Sharon Stone. Indeed, the usual mistress of ceremony so glamorous, could not animate this evening, being retained on the shooting of the film Largo Winch 2<\/em>. However, she was brilliantly replaced by several stars following each other on the stage, including Jennifer Lopez, Alan Cumming or Tom Ford .<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>After the dinner organized for the occasion, the famous auction took place with exceptional lots such as, among others, a day with Bill Clinton, a portrait by Karl Lagerfeld, a splendid Armani dress worth 79,000 euros, the new Audi A3 TDI, a necklace from Chopard worth 75,000 euros, a night at the Ritz in the Coco Chanel suite, a role in the next film by Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet or a Cartier watch worth 35,000 euros. The black and white portrait made by Karl Lagerfeld was notably beautiful between vanity and acerbic look on fashion. This year’s auction raised 5.3 million euros.<\/p>\n

This gala was once again an opportunity for all the stars to compete in elegance and glamour while doing a good deed by paying their entrance fee of 4,800 euros per place setting. Designers Karl Lagerfeld and Tom Ford were present accompanied by a deluge of celebrities: Mick Jagger, Russell Crowe, Naomi Watts, Charlene Wittstock, Marc Anthony, Benicio Del Toro, Michelle Williams, Paris Hilton, Carine Roitfeld, Kirsten Dunst, Grace Jones, Michelle Rodriguez and Kristin Scott Thomas to name a few.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>As usual, black and white tones were the order of the day. Kate Beckinsale was still fabulous in her asymmetrical silver dress Armani Priv\u00e9 and Chopard jewels. Marion Cotillard had accessorized her strapless black silk dress Dior with a coral lipstick and a Chopard watch. Diane Kr\u00fcger, in a stunning white and black Chanel gown illuminated by Sergio Rossi pumps, wore the legendary 101 watch by Jaeger-LeCoultre. Judith Godr\u00e8che was perfect in a black tuxedo that she embellished with a pair of Lumi\u00e8re earrings and a 4810 ring all Montblanc. Camilla Belle wore a long black strapless dress by Gucci Premi\u00e8re in tulle cabochon that she sublimated with Cartier jewelry.<\/p>\n

The nude tones were of course part of the party. Jennifer Lopez looked amazing in her powder pink Roberto Cavalli feathered gown embellished with Chopard jewelry. Elisabeth Banks wore a pink Versace dress and had also chosen the House of Chopard to enhance her dress. Mary J. Blige, who came to do a private concert for the event, was divine in her asymmetrical Gucci dress in silk georgette embroidered with pearls.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The prize for color was won by Emily Blunt, delicious in her red George Chackra dress accessorized for the occasion with a smiling Ryan Gosling for the auction. Constance Jablonski gets an accecit in a blue Emilio Pucci dress from the Fall-Winter 2010-2011 collection. <\/strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n

After the auction, everyone was able to party into the night on the palace’s immense panoramic terrace, in a magical atmosphere, at the after-party organized in partnership with Vogue magazine.<\/p>\n

These 12 days are decidedly always of unparalleled glamour. The peak was reached last night, it will be difficult to do better.<\/p>\n
