The Cannes Film Festival is of course famous for its traditional “mont\u00e9e des marches” preceding the screening of a film, but Cannes is also the venue for sumptuous parties.<\/p>\n

After celebrating the screening of the film Midnight in Paris<\/em> and the presentation of the Chopard Trophies to actors Astrid Berg\u00e8s-Frisbey<\/strong> and Niels Schneider<\/strong>, the famous jewelry house Chopard<\/strong> welcomed the stars and happy few to the H\u00f4tel Martinez <\/strong>for its traditional Cannes party. Entitled Happy Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend<\/em>, the theme of this charming party was the glamour of the 50s, in a pink-and-black cabaret setting reminiscent of the films of the era. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The guests, strictly adhering to the “diamonds” dress code imposed by their host, enjoyed a host of surprises, including an exceptional Crazy<\/strong> Horse show calledCrazy Diamonds <\/em>, created especially for the occasion. On stage, the Crazy Horse dancers played pin-up for the evening. This marvellous lesson in stripping, dressed in lights and featuring Haute Joaillerie pieces from the Red Carpet<\/em> collection, dazzled the audience with its aestheticism and mutinous elegance. <\/p>\n

In keeping with the evening’s pink and black decor, guests enjoyed Boizel ros\u00e9 champagne or cocktails created especially for Chopard by Grey Goose. Many of the <\/strong>Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele<\/strong> ‘s invitation and were all decked out in Chopard diamonds for this sensual and charming celebration.<\/p>\n

Jury member Uma Thurman<\/strong> looked stunning in a little black Dolce & Gabbana<\/strong> lace dress, Guiseppe Zanotti<\/strong> rhinestone flat sandals and Chopard diamond earrings, accompanied by Jude Law. <\/strong> <\/p>\n

\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jude Law<\/strong>, the other member of the jury, wore a grey suit with a darker lapel and a thin band down the side of each leg, along with his trusty white bow tie, which he seems to have been wearing since the start of the Festival.<\/p>\n

The other guests were not to be outdone. Jane Fonda <\/strong>was radiant in a Mario Schwab<\/strong> lace cut-out maxi dress from the Spring 2011 collection and Chopard earrings.<\/p>\n

Naomi Campbell<\/strong> was resplendent in her Emilio Pucci <\/strong>gown and tricolored Asteria<\/em> sandals by Sergio Rossi <\/strong>and Chopard jewelry.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Julia Saner <\/strong>also chose an Emilio Pucci dress from the Spring\/Summer 2011 collection to attend the event.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

All eyes were on Bar Rafaeli<\/strong>, sparkling in a blue and black Roberto Cavalli sequined mini-dress.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After a playful pasta party at around 1 a.m., guests were led onto the dance floor by Bob Sinclar<\/strong> and danced the night away…<\/p>\n

Glamour was the order of the day, as Chopard is unrivalled when it comes to organizing fabulous evenings.<\/p>\n
