For two months now, his superb <em>Golden Black<\/em> bar has been offering an original service: <em>Snacking Chic with an opera touch<\/em>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Guy Pommelet, head chef of the <em>Terminus Caf\u00e9<\/em>, the hotel&#8217;s restaurant, explains:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted, given the setting of the hotel and its &#8220;historic&#8221; side, to boost the image of the establishment. This common idea naturally turned to the restaurant industry, which is usually the focus of the media when it comes to the hotel industry. This also allowed us to accompany the recent renovation of the <em>Golden Black<\/em> bar with this wink. In addition, the hotel recently changed its name from Hotel Concorde Saint Lazare to Hotel Concorde Op\u00e9ra, in order to distance itself from the image of the Gare Saint Lazare and to propose a name more representative of the eighth arrondissement of Paris.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The performance offers five appetizers, paying homage to five countries through titles of great operas.<\/p>\n<p>These little wonders can be eaten individually for a simple indulgence, or why not all five as a meal. Believe me, your stomach and your taste buds will wriggle with joy thanks to this regressive-chic dinner party&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>But enough of palaver, the only real question remains: WHAT DO WE EAT?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.luxsure.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/XF6O8646.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-8505 lazyload\" title=\"Hotel CONCORDE Op?ra Paris - 8646\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.luxsure.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/XF6O8646-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"245\" height=\"368\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 245px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 245\/368;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>France,<em>(Mireille<\/em> by Charles Gounod):<\/p>\n<p>Cone of foie gras, pepper and salt, toasted Poilane bread.<\/p>\n<p>Italy,<em>(La Traviata<\/em> by Verdi):<\/p>\n<p>Roma tomato, peeled Buflonne mozzarella with pesto, sucrine leaf and toasted foccacia.<\/p>\n<p>Russia,<em>(War and Peace<\/em> by Serge Prokofiev):<\/p>\n<p>Verrine of lemon whipped cream, herring caviar, topped with salmon eggs and three mini blinis.<\/p>\n<p>Germany,<em>(Daphne<\/em> by Richard Strauss):<\/p>\n<p>Crayfish egg custard flavored with lobster coulis, black bread mouillette.<\/p>\n<p>Austria,<em>(Don Giovanni<\/em> by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart):<\/p>\n<p>Extra fine cornmeal (polenta) cooked in a light and strong chicken broth with truffle oil and egg yolk, raw ham peaks.<\/p>\n<p>For my part, I award this score the grand prize ex-aequo to Germany and Russia, of an exquisite finesse, and a small downside: a sweet appetizer to finish would not have been too much for my girlish palate&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Note that the cost of the experience is more than modest: from five euros for a piece to&#8230; Fifteen euros for the five.
