\"\"<\/a>This Cannes Festival 2010 seems to be the one of memory and tribute. After the tribute paid on Wednesday 12 during the opening ceremony to Jafar Panahi, who was imprisoned and therefore unable to join the jury, not a day goes by without a tribute being paid to international cinema.<\/p>\n

Thursday May 13 was a day of tribute to the current crisis with the screening of Oliver Stone’s film “Wall Street 2, Money Never Sleeps”.<\/p>\n

On Friday, May 14, the Festival paid tribute to Italian cinema with the screening of the restored version of Luchino Visconti’s masterpiece “Le Gu\u00e9pard”, thanks to the combined efforts of Gucci and the organization “The Film Foundation” chaired by Martin Scorcese.<\/p>\n

Saturday May 15 was a day rich in tributes. First of all, the one given to the Spanish cinema by the Minister of Culture Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Mitterrand which was the occasion to see Rossy De Palma, Maria Luisa Paredes, Elsa Pataky, Pilar L\u00f3pez de Ayala and especially the strongest voice of the Spanish cinema, Pedro Almodovar.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The evening of May 15 was also an opportunity to pay tribute to one of the greatest American directors of the last thirty years: Martin Scorcese. A genius director whose talent is still intact, his cinema constantly deals with Italian-American identity, Catholic notions of guilt and redemption, machismo and violence. Who doesn’t remember films such as Taxi Driver<\/em>, Raging Bull<\/em>, Goodfellas<\/em>, Casino<\/em>, Gangs of New York<\/em>, The Inflates<\/em> and the latest one Shutter Island<\/em>. He also participated in the emergence of great actors, first and foremost Robert de Niro, a favorite actor from the beginning who was his alter-ego in his films. Everyone remembers this scene from the Palme D’or at the 1976 Cannes Film Festival (Taxi Driver) where Robert de Niro talks to his reflection in the mirror:“You talkin’ to me<\/em>? Faithful in his choice of actors, the director multiplies the shootings with his favorite actors, the latest being Leonardo di Caprio. His films often decrypt characters with deep malaise whose constant anxieties he translates and remain deeply marked by his childhood neighborhood of Little Italy in Manhattan.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The luxury brand Gucci and the magazine Vanity Fair organized in the prestigious setting of L’Eden Roc an evening in his honor and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the organization “The Film Foundation” responsible for the preservation of films that are part of the heritage of cinema. Many film personalities present in Cannes did not miss this glamorous event. Directors Terry Gilliam, Tim Burton, George Lucas, Pedro Almodovar and Oliver Stone would not have missed this dinner for anything. responded to the call. During the dinner with a view of the sea and the beautiful pool of the luxury hotel, we could meet the actors Cuba Gooding Jr, Josh Brolin, Gael Garcia Bernal and Benicio Del Toro. The actresses were not left out since we could see Claudia Cardinale in great conversation with the master, Catherine Deneuve, Ellen Barkin, Kate Beckinsale, Meg Ryan, Juliette Binoche and Aissa Maiga smile.<\/p>\n

The fashion world was proudly represented by Tommy Hilfinger, Christian Louboutin, Naomi Campbell and Karolina Kurkova. Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director, made a big splash in her gray georgette dress embroidered with Gucci metallic beads.<\/p>\n

The world of music was brilliantly represented by Pharell Williams in Bermuda shorts and the very beautiful and slimmed Jennifer Hudson.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The glamour was at its peak at this dinner and many of the stars trusted Gucci to be their spokesperson. Naomi Watts was just fabulous in her black sequin embroidered halter cocktail dress from the Gucci Fall-Winter 2010-2011 collection. Jennifer Lopez proved her very on taste by choosing a grey asymmetric cocktail dress in silk and organza from Gucci. She was accompanied by her husband Marc Anthony in a Gucci tuxedo. Charlotte Casiraghi was fabulous all natural in her strapless dress in silk georgette embroidered with Swarovski crystals. L\u00e9a Seydoux was divine in her strapless dress in green chiffon Gucci. Salma Hayek, always accompanied by Fran\u00e7ois-Henri Pinault, brilliantly took up the challenge in a bronze cocktail dress embroidered with sequins with a deep V-neckline Gucci. Elsa Pataky made the show again in her cocktail mini-dress with a deep V-neckline from the Fall-Winter 2010-2011 collection that she accompanied with Montblanc diamond earrings from the \u00c9clat collection.<\/p>\n

It’s really raining stars on the Croisette and these stars come from Hollywood.<\/p>\n
