It is<br \/>\nalso a way of showing the public a different taste, a different vision of antiques and the profession<br \/>\nof antique dealer. A total of 25 objects have been selected, belonging to French and foreign dealers (23 French, 1<br \/>\nHungarian, 1 Spanish): 25 objects presented by tomorrow&#8217;s exhibitors to pay tribute to the Biennial&#8217;s 25 editions<br \/>\n. Grouped together on the balcony of honor, these springboard works reflect the many facets<br \/>\nof the art market: archaeology, Asian art, Islamic art, pre-Columbian art, art of Oceania, antiquarian books,<br \/>\n18th, 19th and 20th century furniture, orders of chivalry, sculpture, ancient and modern paintings,<br \/>\ntapestries.   <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>New exhibitors and a strong foreign presence<\/strong><br \/>\nAmong the exhibitors selected by the Syndicat National des Antiquaires, 13 will be setting up shop for the first time<br \/>\nat the Grand Palais. 6 of them are French: Alain Marcelpoil, Dansk Mobel Kunst, Michel Giraud, Galerie<br \/>\nZlotowski, Galerie Tornabuoni, and Galerie J.C. Charbonnier. 5 are new and foreign: Finch &amp; Co,<br \/>\nJ.J. Lally &amp; Co, Marlborough Gallery, Jason Jacques and Richard Nagy.<br \/>\nFinally, two major jewelers join the ranks of this increasingly spectacular section of the Biennale:<br \/>\nPiaget and Louis Vuitton Malletier.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>24 major foreign exhibitors will be present this year:<\/strong><br \/>\nthe United States is particularly well represented by prestigious galleries, including the modern art<br \/>\ngalleries Marlborough and L&amp;M Arts, the specialist in old paintings and drawings Adam Williams<br \/>\nFine Arts, the archaeology gallery J.J Lally &amp; Co, and the specialist in ceramics and earthenware, Jason Jacques.<br \/>\nThe great English names in ancient and modern paintings and drawings, and in sculpture, will not be missing from<br \/>\nthe call: Bernheimer Colnaghi, Richard Green, Richard Nagy, Stoppenbach &amp; Delestre, Sladmore Gallery.<br \/>\nNot forgetting Finch &amp; Co, with its famous cabinets of curiosities, and Entwitsle, a specialist in primitive arts.<br \/>\nBelgium is in the spotlight with the return of dealer Axel Vervoordt, famous for his inspired<br \/>\nand eclectic decorations, Bernard de Leye, a great name in silver and silverware, Yves Macaux in decorative arts from the<br \/>\n20th century, Berko Fine Paintings specializing in 19th and early 20th century paintings and drawings, Antoine Lebel in<br \/>\nceramics, V\u00e9ronique Bamps with a passion for antique jewelry and Gis\u00e8le Cro\u00ebs showcasing Asian art<br \/>\n.<br \/>\nAlso worth discovering are Portuguese merchants Luis Alegria and Jorge Welsh, both specializing in<br \/>\nceramics.<br \/>\nFinally, Italy is also present with the Cesare Lampronti and<br \/>\nMoretti galleries of old paintings and drawings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Established names: pillars of the French art market<\/strong><br \/>\nSince its creation in 1956, the Biennale des Antiquaires has also been the best showcase for antique dealers,<br \/>\nwho have often been established for several generations, and who promote French art by taking part in numerous<br \/>\ninternational fairs. The major 18th-century furniture galleries will be present: Didier Aaron &amp; Cie,<br \/>\nGismondi, Kraemer &amp; Cie, Fran\u00e7ois L\u00e9age, Perrin Antiquaires, Steinitz and Michel-Guy Chadelaud.<br \/>\nAs will the leading galleries for paintings and sculptures: de Bayser, Bellanger, Ber\u00e8s, Brame &amp;<br \/>\nLorenceau, Pierre M. Dumonteil, Jacques Leegenhoek, La Pr\u00e9sidence and Schmit.<br \/>\nLast but not least, Galerie Vallois, a benchmark gallery for 20th-century decorative arts, will once again win the admiration<br \/>\nof collectors with a stand perfectly illustrating the notion of excellence promoted by this 25th edition of<br \/>\nla Biennale des Antiquaires. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>A Parisian off-Biennale season: art takes center stage in the capital<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Syndicat National des Antiquaires wanted to show Paris as the capital of the art market in September 2010. Uniting around this major event, Parisian museums and galleries<br \/>\nwill offer the public a festival of first-rate exhibitions. To name but a few:<br \/>\nL&#8217;Heure, le feu, la lumi\u00e8re, Bronzes du Garde-Meuble imp\u00e9rial et royal 1800-1870, Mobilier National-Galerie des<br \/>\nGobelins; Mobi-Boom, L&#8217;Explosion du design en France (1945-1975), Mus\u00e9e des Arts d\u00e9coratifs; and<br \/>\nFleuve Congo, Arts d&#8217;Afrique Centrale, Mus\u00e9e du Quai Branly.
