Young Swiss designers L\u00e9onie and Marius form Mal-Aim\u00e9e. The duo unveil their first collection in Paris, in the sumptuous setting of the Hotel Crillon. <\/strong><\/p>\n

After meeting on the studio benches of Geneva’s University of Arts and Design, the two friends began their careers together at Nina Ricci.<\/p>\n

When you look at the collection, you sense that it was designed for a woman who is both confident and sensitive. As the two designers explain, “She’s a bit like that woman you don’t like at first sight.” <\/p>\n

Mal-Aim\u00e9e showcases a graphic collection, with precise cuts, cut-outs and blurred prints in fresh colors.<\/p>\n

The range of colors is soft, straight out of a rainbow, with dark, sparkling and fluorescent touches giving the collection energy.<\/p>\n

The shoulders are marked, both by the cut and the changes in materials and colors. Tapered pants are cut below the knee. <\/p>\n

Smooth, shiny aspects, intertwining metallic embroidery on soft, flowing materials, alignments of topstitching giving a “quilted” look… The Swiss duo play with the subtle integration of textures. <\/p>\n

The two designers like to reveal certain shapes and have fun disarticulating the body. For their first collection, L\u00e9onie et Marius were inspired by the American film Tranformers<\/em>. <\/p>\n

Materials, cuts, colors, extreme attention is paid to the choice of these elements. Mal-Aim\u00e9e has introduced us to a modern vision of femininity and elegance. <\/p>\n
