Carine Roitfeld, r\u00e9dactrice en chef de Vogue Paris<\/p><\/div>When you see the beautiful Nicolas Ghesqui\u00e8re, artistic director of Balenciaga, it is really hard to imagine him as the villain of Carine Roitfeld. And yes, Carine Roitfeld whose position as editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris is apparently not enough to get an entry to the latest fashion house show … Carine collapsed, offended, humiliated … Okay, that’s a bit much.
\nOn a more serious note, fashion is currently witnessing what might be called a cold war between Balenciaga and the French edition of Vogue magazine.
\nLast Thursday, at the presentation of the brand’s new collection at the H\u00f4tel Crillon, two people were missing, and for good reason: Carine Roitfeld and Emmanuelle Alt, fashion editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, had not been invited to the festivities. Carine tries to hold her head high, however, without revealing the nature of the ugly conflict, “We’re blacklisted. It’s a shame. It’s a beautiful house and it’s French. I hope it’s not forever.”
\nThe story having unleashed the passions (not surprising, since Kate Moss no longer has her nose in the powder), we soon learned that Balenciaga was no longer among the advertisers of Vogue Paris, and that the house was no longer lending clothes to the magazine for its fashion series.
\nIt is whispered that it would be a question of a certain favoritism towards Balmain that Balenciaga would like to denounce. In the end, the important thing is to know that the two parties can continue to sulk to each other, Balenciaga does not need Vogue Paris, as Vogue Paris does not need Balenciaga. Although, a magazine without Balenciaga is still very sad.<\/p>\n
