American soccer player Patrick Mahomes, his wife Brittany and tennis player Matteo Berrettini also wore customized BOSS outfits for this prestigious fashion event.<\/p>\n

Held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, the theme of the Met Gala 2023 is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”, a tribute to the legendary German designer and photographer who passed away in early 2019. To create the exclusive look for Colombian singer Maluma, Marco Falcioni, SVP of Artistic Direction at HUGO BOSS, was directly inspired by a spring-summer lookbook photographed by Karl himself in 1998 for HUGO BOSS. <\/p>\n

Maluma’s bespoke ensemble for the event consists of an elegant bib and matching pants, entirely crafted in sophisticated gray-tone leather. The star accessory is a fringed silk scarf. It is subtly embroidered with Karl Lagerfeld’s words, taken from a handwritten note addressed to Werner Baldessarini – former artistic director and designer at HUGO BOSS – in 1998, the same year he produced the black and white lookbook. Evoking the essence, texture and clean palette of the individual images captured in Karl Lagerfeld’s photographs, the ensemble exudes understated elegance. <\/p>\n

In keeping with this black-and-white inspiration from Karl Lagerfeld’s photography, highly polished looks were also created for American soccer player Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany. The former wore elegant loafers, a BOSS double-breasted silk suit with notched lapels and an elegant shirt with a hidden placket, while the latter opted for a gorgeous long white dress with silver embroidered details. Brand ambassador and Italian tennis phenomenon Matteo Berrettini also attended the gala, wearing an exclusive bespoke BOSS outfit. <\/p>\n
