FENDI takes centre stage at the MET Gala 2023, with the opening of the exhibition “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. As a sponsor of the exhibition, FENDI is proud to support the revelation of the life and work of Karl Lagerfeld, one of the greatest fashion designers of all time. <\/p>\n

The link between Karl Lagerfeld and FENDI has become legendary over the years, and the exhibition pays tribute to Lagerfeld’s contribution to the history of the House of Fendi. Since his arrival in 1965, Lagerfeld has transformed the house into a playground of endless creativity, fueled by his extraordinary imagination. The exhibition, which traces Lagerfeld’s stylistic vocabulary, explores his unique working methodology and reveals the dualities at the heart of his work. <\/p>\n

FENDI is also proud to be present at the MET Gala with a table hosted by Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi, Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Serge Brunschwig. FENDI guests include celebrities such as Kate Moss, Lila Grace Moss, Precious Lee, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci, Suki Waterhouse, Robert Pattinson and FENDI’s famous Korean ambassador, Hye Kyo Song. <\/p>\n

The evening was also an opportunity for guests to wear head-to-toe FENDI outfits. Silvia Venturini Fendi wore a custom wool crepe dress with satin details, inspired by a Karl Lagerfeld creation from Autumn-Winter 1986. Delfina Delettrez Fendi wore a dress with a print from Karl Lagerfeld’s Spring-Summer 1988 collection, based on a silhouette from Kim Jones’ Spring-Summer 2023 Couture collection. <\/p>\n

Models Kate Moss and Lila Grace Moss wore, respectively, a silk satin ribbed gown with lace manipulations and a gown of marabou feathers treated to resemble fur. Actresses Gwendoline Christie and Christina Ricci wore couture gowns from Kim Jones’ Spring-Summer 2023 collection, while Suki Waterhouse wore a silk tulle dress from Karl Lagerfeld’s Women’s Spring-Summer 2019 collection. <\/p>\n

Huma Abedin, Pete Davidson, Eva Chen, Elizabeth Shaffer and Willow Bay also shone in spectacular FENDI outfits, each offering their own interpretation of the brand’s style.<\/p>\n

FENDI continues to grow with the arrival of Kim Jones as Artistic Director of Couture and Women’s Collections in September 2020 and Delfina Delettrez Fendi as Artistic Director of Jewelry. FENDI remains a brand synonymous with quality, tradition, experimentation and creativity, embodying the very essence of Italian fashion. <\/p>\n
