In the jungle of the Parisian After work parties, to stand out is like an obstacle course.<\/p>\n
Among the umpteenth office parties for dynamic thirty-somethings, Trenty’s seems to want to stand out by proposing an innovative concept: every Tuesday are organized the Arty Session evenings where culture is mixed via an art exhibition, cocktail workshops and artistic and musical performances, in the magnificent Salon des Miroirs of the Passage Jouffroy in the 9th district of Paris.<\/p>\n
Their challenge: to present young artists to the greatest number of people in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.<\/p>\n
Arty Session is only the first part of this new concept, which is available by season. From October to December, the Arty Session evenings take place: exhibition and video openings from 7pm, artistic happenings, cocktail classes, a buffet and a DJ in a loft atmosphere filled with balloons. Winter will be cosy with a “fireside” atmosphere, a musical program oriented towards jazz or soul for a “cocoon addiction” atmosphere. From April, the last two sessions “open green” and “urban summer” will follow. Photo exhibitions, travel books, cooking classes will be offered on the theme of a country.<\/p>\n
The first editions were a great success, which nevertheless required some adjustments.<\/p>\n
The showroom is the first stop before entering this former 19th century brewery and enjoying the atmosphere, the buffet, the stage performances and the music. <\/p>\n
Until the end of the year, artists from very different universes will follow one another, both strength and weakness of this new concept. To propose each week such different artists of the contemporary scene with a comparable quality remains a challenge. The first artist, Antoine Gamard, offered us a very dynamic vision of street-art through his compositions and flyers. The second edition allowed to attend the creation of a live work by Julien Duprez. Nicolas Ulmann, king of Parisian nights, even moved part of his “Burned” exhibition there for an evening. Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bourret told us about New York with a special buffet of popcorn, hot dogs and muffins ….<\/p>\n
But beyond the artists presented, the choice of the works proposed to please the greatest number while preserving the same level of quality remains a difficult exercise. And this is the weak point of these evenings, sometimes the photos presented do not necessarily reflect the best of the artist. Especially since even if the showroom is an obligatory passage, it is not an obligatory stop.<\/p>\n
