The French press awards for arts and culture, the Globes de Cristal, will take place on February 8 at the Lido and will be broadcast live on Virgin 17. Presented by Anne Roumanov and Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, the Globes de Cristal reward different cultural fields such as fashion, cinema, music, theater, television, exhibitions and literature. Will be nominated in the cinema category “Un proph\u00e8te”, “Welcome”, “OSS 117”, “Le concert” and “A l’origine” for Best Film. Isabelle Adjani, whose film “La journ\u00e9e de la jupe” marked the big comeback this year will be in competition with Chiara Mastroianni for her performance in “Non ma fille tu n’iras pas danser”, Kristin Scott Thomas, Marie-Jos\u00e9e Croze and finally Maiwenn for her role in “Le bal des actrices” of which she is the director and for which Joey Starr was nominated for a Cesar. Category Fashion Nicolas Ghesqui\u00e8re the prodigy of Balenciaga will be facing Karl Lagerfeld, Dries Van Noten, Marc Jacobs and Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent, as for Charlotte Gainsbourg, she will also be part of the party with her album “IRM” nominated in the Music category. “Un roman fran\u00e7ais” by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Beigbeder, forgotten of the ceremony despite his recent Renaudot Prize, will be among others competing in the literature category Justine L\u00e9vy for “Mauvaise fille”, Anna Gavalda for “L’Echapp\u00e9e belle” and Delphine de Vigan with “Les heures souterraines”.
