STUART WEITZMAN PRESENTS FOR THE FIRST TIME DURING MILAN FASHION WEEKTHE FALL 2019 COLLECTION DEBUTS AT MUSEO DEL NOVECENTO

Stuart Weitzman reinforces its positioning as a leader in luxury fashion footwear and accessories by presenting its Fall 2019 collection during Milan Fashion Week for the first time.
The debut collection by the brand’s Head of Design, Edmundo Castillo, fuses the iconic Stuart Weitzman DNA with modern femininity. Against the backdrop of Milan’s Piazza del Duomo, a modern museum environment creates a juxtaposition ideal for displaying striking structural silhouettes that nods to the beauty of history while simultaneously looking toward the future.

“Presenting in Milan puts our Brand on the global stage, said Eraldo Poletto, Stuart Weitzman CEO and Brand President. “Stuart Weitzman is an American brand with a European sensibility, so we felt it was time to share our new collection with the fashion community gathered here.”

Built on a foundation of quality, Stuart Weitzman pairs innovative new fabric treatments with surprising details and opulent embellishments that offer distinct points of view across footwear and handbags. Futuristic elements are woven throughout the collection: galactic embroidered motifs further elevate signature styles; streamlined thigh-high boots are crafted from technical stretch vinyl, stretch suede and stretch metallic; barely-there sandals adorned with colored feathers stand out as elegant accent pieces; clear plexi inserts and colored lucite block heels transform everyday essentials into effortless statement-makers; and a collection of metallic and leopard paillettes are abound in a rich fall color palette.

“When I began designing this collection, I was inspired by the idea of creating modern footwear with a futuristic sensibility. I reimagined the timeless designs the brand is known for, incorporating sculptural shapes and innovative design elements. We are taking the Stuart Weitzman woman’s shoe wardrobe into the next era,” said Edmundo Castillo, Head of Design.

The collection is on display as unique works of modern art within the historical Museo del Novecento. Structural elements hold the shoes giving each their own space to exude an individual statement. A dynamic interplay of classic elegance and modern edge give rise to a new and moving breadth of styles for the Fall 2019 season.
