SORAPOL’s first collection, « True Colours », has launched earlier this month during a great event at St George’s Church on Hanover Square. Inspired by the story of Coccinelle, the glamorous sole-survivor of a 1940’s jungle air crash, this collection charts her transformation from an infamous debutante to a natural beauty, happy in her true colours.

Taking inspiration from exotic nature, SORAPOL’s first collection is built up of contrasts, in the form of shapes, colours and texture. Sorapol Chawaphatnakul, the designer, has carefully developed natural, organic shapes, into formats that have been tailored to suit elegant, successful, forward-thinking women. Each surface is elaborately embellished with hand beading, painting and crystals, using rich, contrasting colours throughout the collection.

Every garment undergoes intricate processes to ensure a high quality finish.

Sorapol’s first collection also sees the collaboration of some of London’s most talented artists and designers, with jewellery designed by Central St.Martins Graduate Skir Lin, shoes created by crossover architect and luxury footwear designer Bryan Oknyansky, millinery by Daniel Lismore, sunglasses by Linda Farrow and illustration by up and coming fine artists, Achraf Amiri and
Dominico Cordua.

A website featuring the collection will soon be launched! For more information, visit http://sorapol.co.uk/.
